Excursion to Zuiderzee Museum, July 3, 2010

The International office of TU Delft is organizing an excursion

to this Museum in Enkhuizen (province North Holland).

In the Museum Park you can join a guided tour along the authentic buildings from the former “Zuiderzee” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zuiderzee ) area, like a church, a school, a fish-smokehouse and houses from the surrounding fishing villages.

You can attend demonstrations of craftsmen and enter the houses. The shops and restaurants will be open. You can visit the replica of the port of Marken, where boats are moored and alongside the wharf little houses are to be admired. See also: www.zuiderzeemuseum.nl

We will take a stroll through the nature area where lunch will be had, just next to the Bronze Age farm.

Programme:

09.30 Departure from Delft, Aula Congress Centre

11.00 Arrival in Enkhuizen, guided tour, lunch

14.30 Departure from the museum

16.00 Arrival in Delft

Participants are expected to pay a contribution of € 15,-, holders of a Museum card pay € 7,-, this will cover the costs for the entrance and lunch.

From June 15 you can subscribe through www.our.tudelft.nl (first come, first served) ; you will receive a confirmation, on June 25 you will receive an email about when to collect and pay your ticket.
