Dear student,

As a result of questions I adapted the text you already received. Hopefully now everything is clear. With kind regards, Bas Giskes

Dear student,

We have the pleasure to inform you that you have been awarded a HSP Huygens scholarship in order to study at Delft University of Technology.

Congratulations! We are looking forward to meeting you in September 2008. We kindly ask you to carefully check and read the following website:

http://www.tudelft.nl/live/pagina.jsp?id=c5b7ba7c-de8e-4fd3-bbe1-c7f89f5fc820&lang=en

Be aware that some of the information does not apply to you. Below you will find the information which specifically applies to Huygens scholarship holders:

Scholarship and Guarantee Payment, Visa

For Huygens scholarship holders it is not necessary to send a copy of your scholarship contract. We will receive a copy from Nuffic (the organization from which you receive your scholarship
) which is sufficient to apply for your visa. You will get an email as soon as the Visa application process has started. So for your visa you don’t have to take any action. ACTION: Just be sure that we have a copy of your passport. For scholarship holders it’s not necessary to pay the tuition fee. It’s part of the HSP scholarship and TU Delft will receive a payment of Nuffic. We will pay you your monthly allowance.

Confirmation statement

You don’t have to send in the confirmation statement. The scholarship contract is for TU Delft the confirmation that you will start your studies at TU Delft. Please let us know if this is not the case.

Arrival

We expect you to arrive in the Netherlands on August 21, 22, 23 or 24. ACTION: You have to book a flight for yourself. If you do not arrive on one of these days please contact TU Delft since this may result in a considerable delay regarding your registration. The contribution for the return travel fare will be paid in September 2008.

For more detailed information, please see the websitehttp://www.tudelft.nl/live/pagina.jsp?id=4493f1bf-25b8-4344-9116-7cea770f9224&lang=en

Subject: Perbandingan antara sistem pendidikan jepang dan Belanda

Hi Des,

how are you? kalo gw hitung2an waktu, kayanya bentar lagi master degree u selesai ya? U Class of 2008 kan?? banyak jg yg udah kelar masternya ya, Puri, Ardhy, Bayu, Suryanto, Peter, Hendro, td sore gw baru tahu Johan udah selesai master degreenya di NTU and kerja di salah satu investment company gitu…..

Gw punya pertanyaan, misalnya u di tahun 2006 kan dapet Shell Scholarship ke TU Eindhoven kan ya? pengen tau aja, jika saat (2006) itu u dapet scholarship buat ke Jepang (e.g. Todai, or Tokodai) yg masuknya jg bareng2 (oct gitu) , which one will you choose? and why?

Thanks ya dulu udah kasih gw banyak informasi mengenai Belanda….. Pas gw tanya ke mereka, ternyata nama gw nggak kena black list hehehe 🙂 (tentu aja ga nanya frontal ;p)

Thanks
Ronald

Subject: Huygens Scholarship (RAI – Registration Number 30408)

Dear Bas Giskes

My name is RAI (Registration Number : 30408). I am one of HSP Huygens scholarship holder.

Visa
In your previous email, I can quote So for your visa you don’t have to take any action.”
Could you elaborate more? Don’t I have to take visa and/or attend interview in Dutch embassy to get the visa?

I have read the visa approval section in URL below.  I have several questions.
1. When will I know whether my visa is already approved or not?
2. When I can take my visa in Netherland’s embassy? In Indonesia, visa is required to book flight to Netherlands.
3. I want to  request for D+C Visa,  how many days more it will take?

http://www.tudelft.nl/live/pagina.jsp?id=a1f52dcf-a8ba-480b-b80e-1365822217ad&lang=en
Visa approval
When the visa has been approved by the IND in the Netherlands, the approval will be send to the Dutch Embassy or Consulate General in your home country. If you want to collect your visa in another country you need to have a legal residence permit of that particular country.
Please note that the visa has to be collected within six months after the approval otherwise it will expire.

D+C visa
While a D-visa is only valid for one single entry into the Netherlands a combined visa allows you to travel more freely. This visa is also known as a D+C visa. It allows you to travel to and from the Netherlands during the first 90 days after the visa was issued. This combined visa also allows you to travel through the Schengen countries during this period. TU Delft only applies for a  D-visa. If you would like to travel you should request a D+C visa at the Dutch Embassy / Consulate General once your initial visa is approved.
Please note that it will take more time to issue a D+C visa.

Thank you for your assistance
